Information Messages

Cause: The scan completed, however no files were found. This may be a sign that your media is wiped and cannot be recovered anymore. Read the Important Information and Warnings for more information.

Warnings

Cause: The selected drive seems to be a hard disk. Read Important Information and Warnings for more information.

Cause: RescuePRO needs a folder on a drive for storing temporary files during recovery. By default, this is the Windows-TEMP folder. If there is not enough space on the System drive, this message occurs. You may ignore this message, if you know that the free space on your System drive is enough for recovering your files from the selected media.

Error messages

Cause: This is a serious error that could indicate several issues with the media.

Solution: Several things may help:

• Try rescanning the media
• Check all cables and connections
• Install the latest drivers for your card reader or device.
• Formatting may help. DO NOT FORMAT IN DEVICE OR FROM EXPLORER. DO NOT USE A PREPARING UTILITY THAT COMES WITH YOUR MEDIA READER OR CARD (e.g. smprep.exe). The format should be completed from the COMMAND PROMPT or from the RUN BOX. If you are unsure of how to do this CALL SUPPORT.
  
  To format the media type in the following at COMMAND PROMPT. Replace e: by the letter of your media. WARNING! If you do not know the correct drive letter you risk to format the wrong drive!
